In February, we proudly sponsored the International Academic Competition (IAC), which includes subject-specific contests, including, the National History Bee and Bowl, National Geography Bee, and National Science Bee. Our campus buzzed with energy as 150 academic athletes and their enthusiastic supporters gathered—among them, twelve dedicated Rohan Woods students. The competition was fierce, and the rewards went beyond medals and certificates.

Each September, we have the privilege of taking our Fifth and Sixth Grade students on a weeklong science excursion. This year, we will explore the Huntsman Marine Science Centre at the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada. Kachina Doll Presentations The fifth graders introduced their kachina dolls to the other classes at Rohan Woods by telling the unique story and virtue represented by the doll.  The Hopi were the first indigenous peoples to create kachina dolls to teach children about their history and tradition. They were given to Hopi children during ceremonies, then hung on the wall
