Learning Support Program

Rohan Woods School’s Learning Support Program is a specialized initiative designed to nurture students who thrive in a supportive environment. This program has a tailored approach to learning, helping students develop critical skills in academics, executive functioning, and personal growth.

Program Leadership
Cheryl Engle, Director and Learning Consultant, brings over 33 years of expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Her extensive background brings various strategies and instructional methodologies to teach students to become independent learners.

Admission Requirements
To access the program’s resources, students must meet the following criteria:
—Offer of admission into Rohan Woods School and a school recommendation for resources
—An established history of academic challenges
—Psycho-educational testing by a professional diagnostician with documentation including test results and classroom adaptation recommendations with a diagnosis
—Or a relevant medical history with a professional diagnosis

A diagnosis does not indicate a need for support. Students must meet admissions criteria to be admitted into Rohan Woods. Parents are financially responsible for any direct or ancillary support services a student qualifies for which will be determined based on need for support. Student services are flexible and may change throughout the school year.
Program Offerings
For additional information regarding academic support and fees, contact Maura Comesana, Director of Enrollment Management, for individualized intervention options. This support occurs on campus during the school day and may include:
— 1:1 tutoring
— Consultation/case management
— Curriculum adaptations/modifications
— Executive function coaching
— Achievement test monitoring (Second through Sixth Grade)
