On the surface, the feeling in our building today is one of excitement. Perhaps due to the coveted Pajama Day filled with fuzzy slippers and stuffed animals that bring conversation with peers. Or perhaps because it’s our last day before Thanksgiving, and the children are anticipating time with family and friends. While both of those perceptions may have some validity, I honestly feel it’s something else.
As I watched the students and adults interact this morning, I couldn’t help but notice genuine personal exchanges. Conversations laced with admiration and laughter. This is what I love about our school – it’s a genuine, authentic community collectively working to make a positive impact on one another. It’s meaningful for us to bring a little sunshine into each other’s days.
I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for your positive energy and commitment to your child and the School. May you enjoy building memories as you gather around the table with food, family and friends.
Warmly,
Sam
