Dear Rohan Woods Families:
SEPTEMBER 6, 2016—Our first day of school has unfolded smoothly. The students are happy, engaged and ready to learn. I am thrilled that your family is a part of our community and look forward to the excitement a new year brings. I’d also like to introduce you to three new avenues of communication that will be utilized this year.
For more than 20 years, the Home Page, a bi-weekly newsletter, was used to communicate general information about the school, that included Head of School articles centered upon parenting tips, unique experiences, educational methodologies and curricula. This valuable information was important, but at times, cumbersome to access. Our goal is to serve our community as effectively as possible; so a decision was made to make information accessible 24 hours a day rather than searching through emails.
School Blog – A school blog will be located at the bottom of the website’s homepage at rohanwoods.org. Pertinent information regarding a plethora of topics will be posted and archived so that you may access at your convenience.
Parent News – School events, announcements, reminders, calendars, and menus are now accessible on the website at https://rohanwoods.org/abo
Bloomz – We are very excited 
about launching this school-wide communication application. Through Bloomz you will receive classroom updates, general notifications, the school year calendar and the ability to schedule conferences. Bloomz can be used on any device- PC, Mac, tablet, iPad, iPhone or Android. We are all learning this new app together, so please provide feedback and be patient while we address any bumps in the road.
Facebook – We continue to use Facebook to share our day-to-day activities, pictures, and events with our friends and families. Please be sure to “like” us on Facebook, “like” our posts and share them.
We are confident that our community will be up-to-date on the latest information about Rohan Woods due to these communication enhancements. Staff will be on hand at Curriculum Night to provide assistance with any of these mediums. We’re looking forward to an exciting year, so stay tuned for information.
