November flew by in Middle School! Students were extra busy finishing the fraction unit in math and reading the final chapters of Island of the Blue Dolphins. Students are working on journals they imagine Karana (the main character in the book) would have kept while stranded on the island. They are exploring how changing the story to first person gives them an opportunity to understand Karana's struggle against nature and herself. 
Congratulations to all students that have made excellent progress on Flight Reports. Many are close to completing the silver card.
