Through the use of the popular story by Eric Carle, the Fifth and Sixth grade students…
…have put together their own version of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" to demonstrate their understanding of the vocabulary. For this past week's homework assignment, students recreated the well-known cutout pages to depict "La Oruga" eating his way through the calendar week.
Students will continue to work through the course, particularly focusing on different places. They will be able to describe places in their community, tell about places they will visit, and tell where they want to go.
In the Third and Fourth grade classes, students are continuing with the Calendar. Specifically, students are working towards naming the twelve months of the year, saying what month we're currently in, as well as telling what month their birthday is in.
