Our geometry unit has led the Sixth Graders through many investigations and discussions of area and surface area. Students learned why understanding these measurements would be important for consumers and producers to make financial decisions with materials. Students did an excellent job with sharing the tasks, communicating and coming to agreement based on their research. We will continue with investigations of circles next week leading to our celebration of Pi Day in March!
We are halfway through Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library in preparation for MADCO in April. Students have been completing vocabulary and comprehension activities. Students are enjoying relating to various characters in this exciting book.
It was great to have dads visit for Pancakes on Friday. Students played games and spent special time with their visitors.
