February seemed to end as quickly as it came! Students were very busy learning. It has been unseasonably warm, giving the students a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our garden area for reading. We finished reading Bridge to Terabithia, and the students completed a final project creating their own fantasy worlds. Because we only have two more weeks until Spring Break, we will wait to begin a new book after break. In the meantime, we will be reading selected non-fiction pieces to work on critical reading skills. 
In Math, we have finished our unit on the metric system and are currently studying decimals and percents. Students continue to polish their problem solving skills daily. They are looking forward to celebrating pi day on 3.14, and are already working on memorizing the digits of pi!
