Junior Kindergarten 2/1/2018

The Junior Kindergarten are having fun preparing to celebrate 100 days of school on February 2nd.  They made shirts and journaled what they would do if they were 100 years old.  We built structures out of 100 cups and did a hershey kiss scavenger hunt.

The Junior Kindergarten added more sight words this month and is working on making rhymes, identifying words, and distinguishing long and short words in print.  We continue to work on writing our first and last name using capital and lowercase letters.  The Juniors are doing a great job matching beginning and ending sounds.

During math centers, Juniors have been playing addition games to show addition as putting together and to.  The 100 day celebrations have involved number identification and place value games. We have also been using ten frames to build number sense
