The end of the calendar year brings with it such abundant opportunities for reflection in the classroom. Many of my students can be overheard saying, "Remember when this was all so new?!" Students in Fifth Grade are thrilled to look back and notice that there was a time when Algebra was an entirely new frontier and present and past participle were not so commonplace as they are now.
Fifth Graders have completed their web blog book reports, and are eagerly looking forward to our classroom novels for 2016. We are leaving our 2015 classroom with the Patriots just on the cusp of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, and our winter/snowman essays on their way home.
We look forward to all that 2016 will bring to us in our classroom and in our community. And we wish you the happiest and safest of holiday seasons.
Until we see you again…
Enjoy your holidays!
