December is a busy, busy month in the 5th grade classroom. We continue to enjoy our opportunities to grow and learn with other students in our class and in our community. As the second trimester proceeds forward, we continue to apply our study skills across the curriculum, and
In Math we have made a tremendous leap forward! Students have learned the basics of algebraic concepts and are now applying those to real-world problems on a daily basis. It is incredible to witness their growth as thinkers and problem-solvers!
In Language Arts, we are working on our study skills, which we then apply to other areas across the curriculum. We are using our study skills to analyze information in a text. From there, we organize our information onto an outline. Up next, we will use these skills to create a research paper on a topic of the student’s own choosing.
The 5th grade are hosting a Movie Night for the students in the EC through 1st grade. Movie Night will be on Friday, December 4th from 5:00-7:30. Please join us for fun, pizza and movies! Feel free to send along your child’s favorite
