April Physical Education

Physical Education students are bumping, setting and serving their way into volleyball games!

Students in Physical Education classes are working hard in their volleyball unit. They have been working on lead up games to strengthen their ability to bump, set, and serve. Students are playing development games and drills which focus on these tasks. They’re playing volleyball games such as “battleship”, “keep up’s”, “beach volleyball”, “beach ball”, “knockout”, and “nukum.”  Students have been assessing each other’s skills through partner cooperative learning. Students in fourth, fifth and sixth grade are playing volleyball during lunch league. Students have been doing fitness based warm ups to get their heart rate up through anaerobic exercise. Pre-School classes have been having fun with music and movement as well as continuing to work on throwing and catching skills. Early childhood classes are playing with the scooters to go along with their transportation unit in the classroom.
