Pre-Kindergarten is happy to be back in school!
We started our unit on The Mitten by Jan Brett this week. In this unit, we are working on sequencing and story retelling. We also touch on the various animals that live in the cold weather. The students will also learn letters M, N, and O in the coming weeks. During the last weeks of this trimester, the students will work on being kind to each other and practice resolving conflict among peers. They also will perfect the morning routine which includes: independently taking the parent pouch out of their backpack and putting it where it belongs, moving their name over to show their presence at school, and choosing a center. Second semester is time for the Pre-Kindergarteners to start preparing for Junior Kindergarten.
